Vigor and Passion

So society decides it is going to rule your life even though it's an ugly old man and you're a beautiful young woman. On a whim you refuse this decrepit future, defy society, and determine to live a life of vigor and passion. The rest of your days are spent in flight from society as it tries to track you down and kill you.

That's what this story is about. The beautiful young woman is Grainne. The life of vigor and passion is embodied in Diarmuid. And society calls himself Fionn. An ancient Gaelic epic. Here's what the first page looks like in Gaelic and translated into English.

There's a cool part about halfway concerning a one-eyed giant who guards a tree which bears fruit that makes you young.
